The African Press Club (TAPC) relies on locals on the ground to deliver inspiring and informative African/African Diaspora stories to a global audience. Stories published by TAPC are meant to educate and to elevate the African worldview.

What type of stories are we looking for?
  • Informed commentary, analysis or debate on a topic affecting Africans/African Diaspora 

  • An original piece exploring any subject matter in your community that provides fresh insight, knowledge, and information. Example: African/Diaspora philosophy, spirituality, lifestyle, health, traditional systems, traditional/herbal medicine, culture, art, history, legend stories, mythologies, education, folklore, fables, technology, etc.

  • Contemporary accounts of people in Africa/African Diaspora applying modern technology to African knowledge and indigenous systems in a way that solves our unique challenges.

  • Tales about everyday life in your country on any topic Example: movies, cinema, entertainment, food, housing, fashion, trends, wellbeing, environment, ethics, etc.

Submission Requirements
  • Stories should be a maximum of 1,200 words

  • Microsoft Word File Format

  • 12 point size

  • Stories, images or videos should be yours or used with citation and permission

  • TAPC is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant and will not become involved in copyright disputes.
